ULTIMA is an international consortium that aims at promoting collaborative research on the magnetosphere, ionosphere, and upper atmosphere through the use of ground-based magnetic field observatories. In particular, ULTIMA is an array of arrays.

Inter-university Project
IUGONETClicking this takes you to the English version of the IUGONET website. IUGONET (pronounced ¡ÈYugo Net¡É) is a six-year research project whose members are: (1) National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR), (2) Tohoku University, (3) Nagoya University, (4) Kyoto University, and (5) Kyushu University. The goal of the project is to build a metadata database (MDB) of ground-based observations of the upper atmosphere.
