IUGONET (pronounced “Yugo Net”) is a six-year research project whose members are: (1) National Institute of Polar Research (NIPR), (2) Tohoku University, (3) Nagoya University, (4) Kyoto University, and (5) Kyushu University. The goal of the project is to build a metadata database (MDB) of ground-based observations of the upper atmosphere.
